Minister of Energy John Peter Amewu says if the Karpowership is not relocated to Takoradi from Tema, Ghana will be losing 40 million dollars every month.

Mr. Amewu made the announcement when he paid a working visit to the Aboadze Power Complex in Takoradi.

However, the Sector Minister was disappointed that the Chief Executives of VRA, Ghana Gas and GNPC failed to meet him on the visit to discuss critical national issues including the relocation of the Karpowership.

Mr. Amewu said the NPP government do not want to repeat some of the mistakes in the past that plunge the country is darkness and therefore government is doing all in its power to ensure that Ghanaians have constant power supply.

He said government is ready to address all the challenges facing the power producers to ensure that the lights are on at all time.

He however,  fumed why the Chief Executives failed to meet him when communication to that effect has been sent to them.
