The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, James Oppong Boanuh has instructed Police Commanders to give a listening ear to their subordinates in relation to their work and personal challenges.
Mr. Oppong Boanuh said the recent homicide committed by two Police personnel which is currently under investigation has necessitated a review of existing structures within the Service with regard to mental health.
He said the Service is also in discussions with the Ghana Psychology Association to incorporate a sustainable mental health system within the Service for personnel and their immediate families.
He said this in Accra when the Police Welfare Scheme donated Buses to all the 18 Regional Police Commands.
