GJA opens book of condolence for late GBC Volta Star Broadcaster Kafui Kumagah

Staff of GBC – Volta Star Radio in Ho have held a ceremony to observe the one week passing of a coworker, Kafui Kumagah.

A book of condolence has also been opened at the premises of the Station for loved ones to share their memories and pay tribute to the late broadcaster.

Kafui Kumagah popularly known as the “Grand K2” on radio died at the Ho Teaching Hospital where he had been on admission for a short illness.

He joined Volta Star Radio in 1996 on transfer from GBC-Twin City Radio in Sekondi Takoradi, the Western Regional capital.

The “Grand K2” was until his demise on March 12, Head of Programmes at the Station, a position he held for nearly ten years of his 24-year service with the GBC in the region.

He was the regular morning show host and created a segment called “Nsem Pii Parliament” where he threw a searchlight on issues affecting communities and the country.

Kafui Kumagah died at the age of 49, leaving behind a wife and two children. Funeral rites will be announced later.
