President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Rolland Affail Monney, has rendered an unqualified apology to the two Citi FM Journalists, Caleb Kudah and Zoe Abu Baidoo who were molested by National Security Operatives.

This comes after a backlash from Journalists and other Media Practitioners calling for his removal as GJA President.

Mr. Monney in an interview granted a private station in Accra said Caleb Kudah violated the GJA code by filming at the precincts of National Security.

Speaking at a News Conference in Accra today, Mr. Monney, admitted that the information he had at the time of granting the interview was sketchy hence his pronouncement on the matter.

He said with the benefit of hindsight he condemns the use of force and intimidation against Journalists in the country by National Security Operatives.
