The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation,GNPC has begun exploration for oil in the Volta basin stretching from the Volta Region to parts of the Northern region.
In line with this, the Minister of Energy John Peter Amewu, has asked chiefs along the stretch to cooperate with the technical team in the exploration.
The Energy Minister, made the announcement at Damongo in the Northern Region when he called on the Chief of Damongo as part of a working visit to the Northern Electricity Company, NEDCO.
