Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, has created a food storage bank to cater for needy and deprived students to ensure their continued stay on campus.

The food bank which is under the supervision of the Dean of Students Affairs received food and other edible items to meet partly demands of students upon request.

A Deputy Registrar at the office of the Dean Madam Theodora Oduro, appealed to the Public as well as priviledged students to help stock up the food bank. Speaking at a ceremony to receive food donation from a group of students from the Departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Madam Oduro said many students within the poverty bracket would have had their courses truncated had it not been for the intervention of the food bank.

Leader of the students, Kelvin Abban said, the two departments after associating themselves with challenges some students go through on campus decided to make the donation as their widows mite to support deprived colleagues.
