Staff of the Kotoka International Airport are on sit-down strike. They have withdrawn their services until further notice.

As part of the industrial action, they will not provide front desk services, check-in services among others.

The staff contend that most of their long-term grievances have not been addressed.

Speaking on the Uniiq Breakfast Drive, General Secretary of the Divisional Union of the Ghana Airport Company, John Sampah said though the complaints of the staff are long overdue, the union is not happy with the strike, because it will affect revenue generation.

He said they are in talks with the Minister nominee and other stakeholders to find solutions to the problem.
