The exercise christened ‘Kwadaso HomeComing Clean-Up Exercise’ was to rekindle their communal spirit and undertake regular clean up exercise in their communities.
The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko led the general clean up exercise that attracted various social clubs, youth wings, assembly members, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, and traders were among the hundreds of residents who took part in the exercise that covered major streets, business centres, onion market, terminal stations and institutions.
They swept the streets, clean choked gutters, weeded the surroundings and clear refused on the streets of Kwadaso.
Addressing the media, the spokesperson and the organiser of the Kwadaso HomeComing, Mr. Owusu Bonsu expressed concern about recent robbery and attacks on residents.
He promised to liaise with key stakeholders to address the situation through the formation of Community watchdogs.
The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko who led clean up exercise said, he feels bound as the MP for the area to ensure that his constituent continue have a healthy living.
He stated that the motive for the exercise was to create awareness about the need for people to live in a healthy environment and hoped the community would learn vital lessons from it.
