Major shake-up in police hierarchy

The Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, IGP, David Asante-Apeatu has made changes to the hierarchy of the Police service.

In two separate lists 25 senior officers at the headquarters are said to have been moved to other parts of the country.

The Public Relations Officer of the CID, DSP Olivia Turkson, according to the list has been transferred to the Marine, Ports and Railways, Tema.

ASP Patrick Kodjoe Okai, previously at the National Headquarters, is now the Staff Officer at the Brong Ahafo Regional Head office.

Also, DSP Henry Agyemang, is now the Commander of the Divisional MTTU office at Kibi in the Eastern Region.

The shake-up which comes in the wake of complaints of insecurity in the country adds to a number of shake ups by the IGP since he took office.
