The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested one person in connection with the adulteration of fuel meant for the Kassi Depot of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation, BOST.
9 tankers fully loaded with fuel have also been impounded and are being held at a secret location. According to the Police, the issue is under investigation.
Some top management members of BOST led by the Managing Director, Edwin Provencal have visited the Kassi Depot of the Company to learn at first hand the circumstances surrounding the incident which was detected early this week by an Official of BOST when the tanker involved was off loading its content at the depot.
The Managing Director, Edwin Provencal however gave the assurance that there is no cause for alarm since the contaminated fuel has not found its way out of the depot.
