The Upper East Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Emmanuel Kofi Dzotsi, says medical doctors and other critical staff posted to the Region are refusing to assume work.
He said all efforts to convince them to report for work in the Region have proved futile.
Dr Dzotsi said there is high attrition rate to regions such as Greater Accra and Ashanti, thereby deepening staff deficit and crippling efforts to deliver quality healthcare to the people.
Dr. Dzotsi made the assertion at the 2020 Annual Performance Review meeting in Bolgatanga.
