Melcom supports media

In accordance with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Melcom Group of Companies has donated some electrical gadgets in support of the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ with a 43-inch Satellite LED TV and a Home Theater System.

The Group is also supporting Hannah Ader-Mensah to register for and participate in an Online Public Health Conference by the MAGNUS GROUP LEC in Chicago, USA.

The Group Director of Communications, Godwin Avenorgbo at a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in memory of the late Melcom Group Chairman, also made donations of medical refrigerators to support eleven (11) leading Medical Centers.
these are; the Lucca Medical Centre, Maamobi General Hospital, Lister Hospital, Danpong Medical Centre, Ashaiman Polyclinic and Franklin Medical Centre.

The rest are: University of Ghana Medical Centre, Albany Specialist Clinic, Narh-Bita Hospital, 37 Military Hospital and Holy Trinity Medical Centre.

The donation was follow-up support for a successful nationwide blood donation held some weeks ago in conjunction with the National Blood Service.

In his remarks, Mr. Avenorgbo noted that his former boss, “was a man with a very keen interest in media development, such that his number one routine every morning at his office was to check newspaper headlines and contents”, in an attempt to support underprivileged in society as reported in the Media.

He assured Ghanaians and all patrons that the transition was smooth, seamless and virtually effortless because he was a visionary leader who built a team of knowledgeable successors; each of whom is capable of team Leadership.
