Disaster struck at Akrokerri, in the Adansi district of Ashanti region on Thursday (July 18) morning when a mining pit caved in and trapped some miners.
Latest reports say, one of the victims has been discovered dead.
Earlier in the day, GBC’s Radio Ghana spoke to the District Police Commander for Adansi North, ASP Martin Asenso, who said an excavator has been brought to the scene to dig up to find the alleged victims.
