Motorcycle deaths increase, overtake buses

By July 2018, the National Road Safety Commission had recorded over 1,500 road traffic deaths.
The records show, that twenty percent of the fatalities were caused by motorcycles. Currently, in Ghana, there are more deaths from Okada accidents, than from buses.
The Chief Executive of the Commission, Mrs. May Obiri Yeboah, says the country needs to take a firm decision on commercial motorcycle operations.
