The Minister Nominee for National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah, says prioritising resource allocation to the various security agencies will help in the fight against cyber crime and other emerging threats.
Mr. Kan Dapaah made these comments when he appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, February 10.
Mr. Kan Dapaah also justified the deployment of the military to maintain law and order within the country as well as assigning some personnel of the military as security details for some public office holders.
Responding to questions on who gave the order for the military deployment into Parliament during the election of a Speaker for the House, Mr. Kan Dapaah said a police commander who was monitoring proceedings in House decided on his own to give that order.
