KASA Ghana, a group of CSOs in environment, has raised issues with what they describe as gaps in the Manifestos of the two major Political Parties, the NDC and NPP when it comes to protecting the environment.
According to the CSOs, the manifestos of both parties only exploit the environment and do not add anything substantial to protecting and sustainably managing the country’s natural resources.
The CSOs cited illegal felling and trading in rosewood and Shea trees, illegal trapping and trade in wildlife species such as Pangolin as well as the non-promulgation of the wildlife resources and Management bill which has been stuck in Parliament for more than a decade.
