A Lecturer at the Chemistry Department of the University of Ghana, Dr. Emmanuel Yaw Osei-Twum has testified that all the compounds found in the test on the Lithovit fertilizer in the case in which the former COCOBOD CEO Dr. Stephen Opuni is standing trial for a number of offences, were all low in concentration.
Dr. Osei-Twum who is the fifth prosecution witness in the case of the Republic versus Dr. Opuni and two others said under his recommendation, the Lithovit found in the sample tested by the Chemistry Department of the University of Ghana, was lower than what it was supposed to be.
He said preliminary investigations should have been conducted before its widespread use.
