The Ghana Police Service has filed an application at the court to prevent a planned demonstration scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 20, 2023, to Saturday September 23, 2023 within the jurisdiction of the Jubilee House in Accra.
In a press statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, the group behind the planned demonstration, Democracy Hub are to hold on to all activities that underpin the demonstration as the police await response from the court.
The Police therefore advised Ghanaians and various groups to disregard calls from individuals and groups to assemble within the areas of the Jubilee House to embark on the demonstration since it will be seen as unlawful and a threat to public safety.
