Residents of Afienya-Newland, a suburb of Ningo-Prampram, have agitated over the poor nature of roads in the area.

Drivers and residents lament the appalling nature of the roads saying they make travelling very difficult, as the potholes and muddy stretch slow them down. They attributed the deplorable state of the roads to lack of drainage systems, forcing some residents to pump their wastewater onto the untarred roads.

Speaking to Radio Ghana some motorists and residents called on the government, particularly the Member of Parliament for the area, Samuel Nartey George, to lobby for the roads to be fixed.

They also appealed to residents who are financially capable to aid in fixing the roads.
