Residents of Banvim Manguli in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region have made a passionate appeal to government and philanthropists to help provide them with potable water.

The community has been hit by acute water shortage for months, compelling residents to resort to untreated water from a dam for domestic and commercial activities.

Residents fear a possible outbreak of water-borne diseases since the dam also serves as a source of water for animals in the area posing a risk to their lives.
