Residents in the Lambussie Area have expressed disappointment in government.

They say despite the government’s promise to fix the roof of the Lambussie Day Senior High School, it remains in a state of disrepair.

President Akufo-Addo was in the Upper West Region in July on a duty tour. The tour took him to Lambussie where the President of the Lambussie Traditional Council Kuoro Salifu Tengie Dy-yaka, made an appeal to him, to as a matter of urgency, fix the roof of the school which was ripped off by strong rains and winds.

A source within the school who spoke to GBC NEWS said after the President’s visit, there has been no single indication that the roof will be fixed anytime soon.

The Assemblyman for the Lambussie Electoral Area, Alidu Badoming who spoke to GBC News said the situation has worsened due to continuous rains.

Mr. Badoming appealed to the President to make good his promise of fixing the roof. He expressed worry that if the situation remains the same, teaching and learning in the school would be affected negatively.
