The Director General of the SSNIT, Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang who disclosed this in a brief discussion with the media at the press soaréé which was held in Accra, said the payroll has trimmed about Gh2.7 million to the benefit of the trust every month.

He said SNNIT is not issuing any new lD card but rather using social security numbers.

To increase a benefit payment, SSNIT embarked on an exercise to identify and delete ghost names from the Trust’s payroll.
