The Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie has urged Christians to show love to all people irrespective of their religious beliefs and also exhibit the tenets of Jesus Christ.

By so doing they can win more souls for the Kingdom of God.

Most Rev Kwofie said this at the climax of the 75th anniversary of the Saint Paul Catholic Church at Kpehe in Accra.

The Saint Paul Catholic Church started as a welfare group at Accra New Town and later transformed into a church in 1945 with 25 people. Currently, the church has a membership of more than two thousand.

In a sermon to climax the 75th anniversary of the Church, the Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie asked Christians to a make difference wherever they find themselves.

He said as disciples of Jesus Christ they should be holy and show to all that they are the light of the world. This will help them to win more souls for Christ.

Former President, Jerry John Rawlings who was the guest of honour said it is about time Christians woke up to the essence of the death of Jesus Christ adding that this will help them to follow His tenets.

He said the world is full of lies. However traditional rulers have remained truthful and there is the need for politicians to learn from them.

The programme which was on theme “Call to Holiness“ coincided with the confirmation of 63 members of the church.

The Minister of Information, Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah and a former National Security Coordinator, Francis Poku were present to grace the occasion.
