The Northern Regional capital Tamale, is to host the 62nd independence day celebration on March 6th.
Dignitaries from around the world are expected to grace the occasion.
In an interview with Radio Ghana’s Northern Regional correspondent, Murtala Issah said the ceremony will reflect positively on the image of the region which over the years has received negative reportage.
The region contributed immensely to the independence struggle of the country hence the celebration there is a welcoming one.
Murtala said the Northern Regional Coordinating Council is working around the clock to ensure a successful programme, adding the event provides a unique opportunity to market the region to investors and tourists.
