The Chairman of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee, Dr. Steve Manteaw has urged government to tread cautiously on its handling of the PDS-ECG Concession Agreement.
He warned that if care is not taken to reverse the termination of the Agreement by the Millenium Challenge Compact deadline of October 30, Ghana may lose its funding and affect ties with the US.

Meanwhile, an Economist and Head of Finance, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Business School, Prof. John Gatsi says the economic implication of the PDS contract abrogation is worrisome and must be investigated.

Speaking to Radio Ghana’s George Ankrah on the current developments in the Energy sector, Prof. Gatsi called for full disclosure, as to how much the taxpayer has lost as far as the abrogation of the agreement was concerned.
