Members of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU), including the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) who had earlier refused to comply with the leadership’s directive to call off their strike have rescinded their decision.

This comes after the National Labour Commission’s directive for them to do so and return to the negotiation table.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, National Chairman of TEWU, Ambrose Kwadzodza said after fruitful discussions with its striking members, they have resolved to comply with the directive.

He hinted of the resumption of concluding negotiations with the Fair wages and Salaries Commission on the 4th February,2021 on the conditions of service of unionized staff of Public Universities.
