Wanted criminal nabbed in Fumbisi

The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested suspect Pius Ayamah Anundiabil at Fumbisi in the Sandema District for his alleged involvement in robbery, rape and murder in parts of the country.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Affairs officer of the Upper East Regional Police Command, David Fianko Okyere.

Suspect Anundiabil who claims to be twenty one years and a native of Fumbisi in the Upper East Region has been on Police wanted list for the past two years for alleged rape and robbery cases in Accra and a murder in Koforidua.

He is currently in custody at the Upper East Regional Police Command as plans are underway to transport him to Accra for further investigations.

The Upper East Regional Police Command is urging residents of the region along the borders of neighbouring countries to be more vigilant and report suspicious characters to curb the crime rate in the Region. They can also contact the Police on Emergency numbers 0299-204-666 or 0299-203-614.
