Negotiation for the 2023 base pay for workers has been adjourned again to Wednesday, November 22, 2022 due to lack of agreement between the government and Labour Unions.

The meeting which comes 48 hours before the presentation of the government’s budget and economic policy statement to Parliament ended inconclusively because the government is still holding on to its 12 percent whilst Labour insists on 60 percent.

Earlier, the General Secretary of the Public Services Workers Union, PSWU, Bernard Adjei, said the Unions will be resolute in their demand and expect the government to present an acceptable proposal.
