The Founding President of Youth ICONS Ghana, a youth group, Nana Yaw Osei Darkwah says as part of the role of the youth in developing the country, they must take active interest in protecting the environment.
He said currently, the world is battling issues of climate change and the time is now for the youth to develop positive attitudes towards the environment.
Nana Darkwah said this at the media launch of a Youth Mentorship Fair in Tema.
The fair is an entrepreneurial programme designed to help the youth to unearth their talents, empower and mentor them to be responsible entrepreneurs, as it also seeks to address the increasing youth unemployment in Ghana.
All the speakers motivated the youth to be disciplined and dedicated to work, as they obey the laws governing the State.
