The Ghanaian Times believes the NCA was doing what the law required it to do and therefore cannot be blamed entirely for the predicaments that have befallen the closed radio stations.  The paper says in as much as the NCA must enforce the laws and ensure that the laws of governing the use of spectrum are respected, it must not give room for certain impressions to be created. The Times urges the NCA to work with the affected radio stations to fulfill the requirements needed for their re-opening.

The Daily Graphic says the cocoa industry has contributed to the economic growth of Ghana.  In recent times, however, the price of cocoa on the international market has depreciated by about 40 percent, resulting in the IMF, calling on Ghana to also reduce the producer price paid to farmers. The Paper commends President Akuffo Addo for publicly confirming that Ghana is not ready to cut down the producer price. The Graphic urges the government to continue to ensure that the country has a voice when it comes to determining the global price of cocoa to encourage cocoa farmers to produce more.
