The Ho Municipal Police command has in swoop arrested 29 Nigerians believed to be internet fraudsters, operating in the Volta Regional capital, Ho.

The suspects were arrested from two rented apartments, which are about 150 metres apart, at Ho-Area 52.

This follows a tip-off from some residents of the area, who became uncomfortable with the large number of foreigners, who had suddenly occupied the two houses.

The Municipal Police Commander, DSP Anthony Danso, led 11 other armed officers to the area and arrested the suspects.

He said the police seized 33 laptop computers, two flat screen television sets, one router and more than 20 cellular phones, three standing fans, more than 10 SIM cards and one table-top fridge, from the suspects.

DSP Danso told journalists that all the suspects had admitted engaging in cyber fraud, but maintained their targets were foreigners and not Ho residents.
