Court orders family access for Canadian girls’ kidnappers

The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court has ordered the Bureau of National Investigations to allow the eight accused persons in the  Canadian kidnappers case access to their families.

This was after, the leader of the accused persons, Sampson Aghalor, had for the second time in court complained that they have not been allowed access to their families.

He alleged that, the Nigeria nationals unlike their Ghanaian counter-parts were allowed to communicate with their relatives.

When asked to pinpoint, which of the Ghanaian accused persons were allowed access to their families,  he could not tell.

The court presided over by Justice George Buadi insisted, he mentioned Seidu Abubakar and Yusif Yakubu.

He told the court that  his mother is bedridden and needed to see them.

Senior State Attorney Hilda Craig prayed for the court to adjourn the case for two weeks to enable them conduct further investigations into the matter, for the accused persosn to be formally charged with the offence.
