Anas exposé: Social workers condemn torture at orphanage

The Ghana Association of Social Workers, GASOW, has condemned the alleged torture, neglect and abuse of children by Caregivers at Echoing Hills Village in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest Expose.

GASOW is therefore calling on the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, to as a matter of urgency investigate the operations of Echoing Hills Village.

President of GASOW, Dr. Kwadwo Ofori-Dua, told GBC’s Radio Ghana that the recommendations and findings of the investigation will help in shaping the Social Work Council Bill to regulate the operations of orphanages, especially private ones.

Dr. Ofori-Dua advised the public to be vigilant in checking the activities of Private Orphanages to prevent the abuse of Vulnerable Children.
