Another WHO staff has tested positive for Coronavirus in Nigeria’s Bauchi state. He is the second staff of the UN agency to test positive in the state.
The first had traveled to Kano and returned infected with the virus leading to the sealing of the office complex which is shared by UNICEF and WHO.
The Chairman, Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed, who announced this said newly infected, contracted the virus through his colleague.
He was detected after the contact tracing of the first WHO case.
Both officials had a history of travelling to Kano. Bauchi now has eight confirmed cases of the virus.
Five of them, including Governor Bala Mohammed, have been discharged.
