BECCU launches Young Star Credit Union

Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s (GBC’s), Broadcasting Employees Co-operative Credit Union, (BECCU) have launched the Young Star Credit Union for kids.
This policy will help parents cater for their children in future when are not economically stable.
Speaking at the launch which coincided with the 10th Annual General Meeting held in Accra, the Head of BECCU, Mrs. Yaa Kumi Amponsah urged all workers to inculcate the habit of saving because it will go and along way in bettering their future.
BECCU is a safety net for workers of GBC whose aim is to assist members to pool their resources with a common bond of providing quality credit financial services to its members at competitive interest rates, build a sound and sustainable financial union based on sound business principles of profit and to raise the living standard of members, spouses and dependents.
Since it’s inception BECCU has grown in leaps and bounds in its 44 years of existence.
This year’s meeting which was focused on Building a sustainable savings culture for future development, gave an account of the leaders stewardship.
Mrs. Yaa Amponsah urged all workers to also pay back their loans on time to ensure the union’s survival.
Reports for various sectors were read with Awards given too the female and male highest saver.
