As part of engagements in Trinidad and Tobago, CEO Yofi Grant has met with Robert Le Hunte, Executive Director for the Caribbean at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), to discuss possibilities for partnership between the two countries.

Mr. Grant noted that Ghana is ”well-positioned to be a major economic player in the years to come, with a rich resource pool, a large, skilled labor force, and recent developments that have made it an even more attractive investment destination”.

Mr. Le Hunte echoed Mr. Grant’s comments, adding that ”Trinidad and Tobago businesses could benefit from Ghana’s lower energy prices”.

He also highlighted the cultural and historical ties between the two countries, which could provide a foundation for strong economic partnerships.

In the coming months, officials from Trinidad and Tobago will be organizing a cultural and trade mission to Ghana.

This mission will provide businesses from Trinidad and Tobago with an opportunity to connect with Ghanaian partners and to learn more about the investment opportunities that are available.
