Government says it has enough reserves of the dollar to meet market demands.
This comes after the higher demand of the dollar coupled with limited supply is said to have necessitated the appreciation of the cedis in recent times.
The local currency has been depreciating against the dollar for some time now with some analysts predicting it to hit the five- cedi mark soon.
But speaking on GBC’s Current Affairs Programme, “Behind the News”, the Information Minister Designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the necessary measures are in place to ensure that the cedi appreciates against the dollar.
