The Ghana Shippers Authority is disputing perceptions that Ghana does not derive any benefits from Transit Trade through the country’s corridors.
According to a 2015 study by the Authority, Ghana accrues $34 million every quarter along the transit logistics chain.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Benonita Bismark announced this at a sensitisation seminar for officers of the Ghana Police Service on Transit Trade in Kumasi.
She said the amount comes mostly from quantifiable services provided by operators in the transit services.
