Club football resumes in Ghana- GFA

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee has announced that it has found a way forward for the coming back of official domestic football activities in the country.
It is said, the Committee has come up with a new competition structure, which will involve all the sixteen (16) Premier League and all forty eight (48) Division One League clubs in the country.
The new competition is said to keep all the clubs in a good shape during the GFA normalization process, as well as produce Ghana’s representatives for the next Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively.
This is scheduled to take off on January 26, 2019 and end on April 21, 2019
The Committee noted that it appreciates its quest members and football-loving Ghanaian as football in Ghana is to return, hence the extra effort put in place to find the needed resources for this special competition.
The committee announced that launching of the competition will soon commence as well as the full details of the format will be known.
Arrangements for the return of the women’s and regional competitions is also been finalized by the Normalization Committee.
Meanwhile, the committee looks forward to an exciting return of domestic football in the country with the support of all stakeholders involve.
Therefore, its urge all football fans to embrace the fresh opportunity and patronize the upcoming matches at the various venues.
