The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of MENZGOLD is demanding transparency from government in the ongoing investigation into the activities of the embattled gold firm.

At a news conference in Accra, the Secretary of Coalition, Samuel Odartey also asked all those who have directly or indirectly benefited from the company, including celebrities, and acquaintances to refund all monies taken from the vault of MENZGOLD.

He added that government should freeze all accounts and confiscate assets of board directors and staff of Menzgold acquired during the period of their association with the Company.

Aggrieved customers also were demanding answers from government over the alleged arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah in Dubai which they claim his name is yet to be registered in the Interpol database.

“As customer, we got worried when the purported team that was supposed to have visited Dubai came with a wrong date of NAM1’s appearance in court. This made majority of we, customers to believe that government and state agencies were perhaps not giving us the right information for us to understand the real situation.”

An aggrieved customer of Menzgold, Priscilla Boateng alleged that government did not act fast and swift on their plight, especially their call for a Commission of Inquiry into the issues, adding that government must do the needful for them to retrieve their monies in full.

The aggrieved Menzgold, customers have threatened a aationwide demonstration if government refuses to deal with their demands.
