The Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah has directed that all cases listed for hearing in the various courts within the two-week restriction should be adjourned to May and June.

In a statement, the Chief Justice said the restrictions imposed on persons living in Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi affect all lawyers, litigants and other court users since these categories of persons were not exempted.

The statement, however, said some courts in Greater Accra and Kumasi have been designated to deal with critical cases like breaches which may arise from the restrictions order and other criminal matters.

It said the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal will be available to handle urgent cases to be determined by the Chief Justice during the period.

Registries of both courts will also be opened for services.
