Akosombo International School adopts shift system to curb spread of COVID-19

Akosombo International School in the Eastern Region has adopted a shift system to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the school. This was after Eighty-two students and staff tested positive for the virus.

A statement by the Corporate Affairs and External Relations Unit of the Volta River Authority said currently, all staff and students have been screened adding that those who tested positive are doing well under management and treatment by the VRA medical team.

It adds that precautionary measures such as temperature checks, social distancing, hand washing and sanitizing continue to be observed strictly.
