The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Anette Chao Garcia has disclosed that education is free in Cuba.

She said free education cut across all divides including people with special needs.

“In Cuba, all the education is free. Then if you want to go to university, you can go. Also, for orphans that have disabilities, we have a special school for them.”

Ambassador Anette Garcia added that education and health play a vital role in the development of a country and should be not be downplayed.

“In the budget of Cuba for 2022, 25% went to education, the other 25% went to health, and the other 50% for other things. Because health and education are the most important thing for a country.”
