A Lecturer at the Nutrition and Food Science Department of the University of Ghana, Professor Matilda Steiner-Asiedu has encouraged caterers engaged in the one hot meal per child initiation for JHS students and teachers to ensure a balance diet.

She said the country abounds with several low cost ingredients capable of providing the children with the right amount of nutrients for child growth.

She made this known to GBC’s Augustus Acquaye at a nutrition awareness programme organised by the GJA and Nestle Ghana Limited.

GJA President, Affail-Monney, described the sensitisation forum as an important platform to encourage people to be conscious of products they consume, especially their nutritional benefits.
