The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Kenneth Agbomadze, the Headmaster of Fijai Senior High School, following accusations of unlawfully collecting fees from students.

According to the press statement signed by the Head of Public Relations unit of the Ghana Education Service Madam Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Mr. Agbomadze has been interdicted after allegedly collecting what they termed, illegal fees from students in the school. He is to step away to allow the service to have an easy and fruitful investigation into the case.

The letter also directed the committee, who has been tasked with investigating and probing the alleged case against the embattled headmaster. This action of the Ghana Education Service comes on the back of the service’s constant warning to headmasters of government-assisted senior high schools to desist from collecting money from students or parents.

According to the service, the collection of money from students or parents will undermine the government’s effort to offer equal and free quality senior high school education to all Ghanaians of school-going age in the country.
