Vice President Bawumia commends Afigya Kwabre North MP for championing quality education

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency of the Ashanti Region for championing quality education among the youth.

According to the Vice President, Mr.  Adomako-Mensah’s commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in the field of academics is well commendable. saying the Afigya Kwabre North lawmaker has been a very industrious and selfless leader.

The Vice President, gave the commendation when he hosted some 14 Senior High School entrants in the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency who exhibited academic excellence in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the Jubilee House’

Dr. Bawumia after interacting with the students was convinced that the students will grow to play crucial roles in the development of the country.

The 14 young students represent the students with the best aggregates from the just-released BECE results.

“It was pleasing to interact with you future leaders and share life and school experiences together. I know you are already on the path of success and pray that their life aspirations and dreams come true,” he stated.

Speaking on the performance of the students in a telephone interview with gbcghanaonline.com’s Franklin ASARE-DONKOH, the Afigya Kwabre North lawmaker explained that the impressive result churned out by the students is due to some measures he instituted when he became the MP.

According to him, education forms a key part of his administration and will commit resources to improve education in the Constituency.

“Education is key on my agenda. I have introduced a number of interventions since I became an MP. Some of the key things were to get quality results and to organize examiners to take the children through answering questions.

Our aim is to improve the result every year and I believe this will be a motivation to those in the final year of JHS in the Constituency,” the Afigya Kwabre North said.

Mr. Adomako-Mensah also expressed appreciation to the Vice President for hosting the students, noting that the experience will inspire and motivate them in their academic journey.
