Early Monday morning, some irate youth stormed the Tamale Teaching Hospital, chased the CEO out and locked up his office.

The men numbering about ten alleged that he has been involved in some corrupt practices and misuse of hospital funds.
The minister who doubles as the chairman of REGSEC, condemned the act and said REGSEC is taking the matter seriously and would investigate thoroughly to bring the culprits to book.
He also promised to beef up security at the hospital to prevent the perennial disturbances caused by some irate groups.
The CEO of the hospital, Dr. David Akolbila, on his part commended REGSEC for their Swift intervention and subsequently taking the matter up.
