Ghana international forward Felix Afena‑Gyan has been robbed while on national‑team duty with the Black Stars. The incident occurred as he was in Mexico with the squad for the friendly against World Cup co‑hosts Mexico, during which he played 67 minutes in a 2–0 defeat.

Afena‑Gyan, who is based in Turkey but maintains a residence in Italy, discovered on his return that his home in Italy had been broken into and several personal belongings stolen.

The robbery is reported to have taken place while he was abroad with the Black Stars, leaving him shocked and unsettled after reuniting with his family and home environment.

The club and the Ghana Football Association have not yet given detailed public updates on the investigation, but the episode has drawn sympathy from teammates and fans, highlighting the vulnerability professional players can face even when away on international duty.
