In an attempt to reduce road accidents on busy highways, footbridges are constructed for the safety of pedestrians. But in recent times these footbridges have been taken over by hawkers making it difficult for pedestrians to make use of them. Why are people sacrificing their safety for money and what are the reasons why these vendors sell on footbridges instead of within the market? GBC’s Sarah Ocansey finds out more here.
