Four Ghanaian players have been nominated among 55 other African players to be selected into the Fifpro African best XI.
The quartet are Maritzburg United goalkeeper Richard Ofori, midfielders Mubarak Wakaso, and Thomas Teye Partey and center forward Jordan Ayew.
These four players have been in good form for both club and country and it is no surprise they have their names among the nominees for the Fifpro African best XI.
Goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been in fine form for both club and country with his form for club side Maritzburg United this season drawing admiring glances from clubs in Belgium and even the PSL.
Midfielder Thomas Partey has been an ever present in the Ghana national team and has also been a stalwart in the Athletico Madrid midfield with his eye catching display throughout.
Thomas Partey featured in the maiden edition of the Caf Fifpro African best XI last year and will hope to make it double delight.
Mubarak Wakaso another Black Stars player who has performed consistently for his clubs in Europe and a consistent performer for the Black Stars of Ghana.
Jordan Ayew has been in the form of his life this season starting with 2 goals in 5 games at the Afcon 2019 tournament in Egypt where the Black Stars reached the round of 16 before elimination.
He has continued with that same form into the English Premier League where he is top scorer for his club Crystal Palace.
